The GRIP team are crunching Feb’s numbers ready for release next week and we’re anticipating a strong sales result for Melbourne and Geelong.
In the meantime, let’s take a look at who is in market. The data, and the faces.
Across our portfolio, we are seeing first home buyer and investors in almost equal proportions coming through the door. Both of these groups are looking at a similar lot size with a similar level of urgency shown when it comes to their purchase timeframe. This is starting to create a more competitive environment for small to mid sized stock.
Upgraders by contrast, are well represented but demonstrate less purchase urgency, happy to hold out for the right block or lock down their personal affairs before proceeding.
Whilst interstate investors started demonstrating interest through 2025, we’re now also seeing regular interest from first home buyers who are planning or have recently relocated from interstate.
