September Results Snapshot

Sales volumes across Melbourne and Geelong continued to trend downwards in September with the 731 sales recorded 12% lower than that recorded in August.

In September, all of Melbourne’s regions were represented in the top 5.

Sales by Region

The North was the only region that saw an increase in sales volumes in September with sales volumes up 13% from the previous month. Smaller median lot sizes across all of metropolitan Melbourne’s regions saw lower median sold prices recorded in September.

Estate Market Share by Region

In the South East, the top 5 selling estates accounted for 65% of the region’s total sales in the month of September. The West was the only region to contain more than two estates which recorded more than 15 sales.
