January Results Snapshot

Sales volumes across Melbourne and Geelong have rebounded in January with the 574 sales recorded a 35% increase from sales recorded in December.

The Ladder (Gross Sales)

For the first time since September, estates from outside the North and West regions were represented in the month’s top performing projects. The top 3 projects all launched new promotions to bring in the new year.

Sales by Region

With the holiday period coming to an end, we saw sales volume rise from their slump in December, with all regions reporting an increase in the number of lots sold. Greater Geelong recorded an increase in its median sold price whereas all of Melbourne’s regions recorded a slight fall.

Estate Market Share by Region

Aside from Greater Geelong, all regions had multiple estates which recorded 10 or more sales for the month. There were 12 projects in total that managed to hit double digits in January, 4 more than last month.
