A total of 614 sales were recorded across Melbourne and Geelong in August, a 14% increase on the number of sales recorded in July.

Large masterplanned communities continue to lead the way in terms of sales volumes. In August the North region was home to the top two trading projects whilst each of metropolitan Melbourne’s regions were represented in the top 5.
Sales by Region
All regions recorded a slight increase in sales volumes in August. Both the West and Greater Geelong regions recorded a decrease in the median sold price in August which can be largely attributed to smaller lot types accounting for a greater proportion of sales.
Estate Market Share by Region
Across Melbourne and Geelong a total of 22 projects recorded 10 or more sales in August of which 8 were located in the West, 8 in the South East and 6 in the North.
